Hi, my name is Andrella M. Gaynor. My preferred name is Ms. Muffy. I have 5 years of experience with child development, operational support and education. My favorite subjects are Art, Theater Arts, and STEAM. I am able to work with different levels of primary education with confidence. I offer a safe avenue of self-expression through Art as a teacher. My most recent accolade was collaborating with Stock X for a my schools end of the year Art show/contest. I also received an award for being best new hire of the year.

My goal as an Art Teacher is to create a genuine and lasting sense of confidence in each child with regard to their differences and to experience those differences as talents. I believe that this will enable each child to obtain academic proficiency and social-emotional intelligence. I believe in the power of the whole child/growing person.

I am also a lifetime artist. My photography was recently displayed at the Newark Arts Festival this past fall, 2022. I studied Fashion and Theater Arts in college. I was also a signed musical artist to Warner Bros South. I spent many years in the creative writing field and have inspired a few major artists with my own style and sound.

Collaboration Monsters

The paper was folded into 3 parts. Each student took turns drawing one piece on one-fold of then paper to create the monster (ie.. the head, body or bottom half) then they would pass it to the next student. This taught them about collaboration. This lesson surprised me because a lot of my students did not want to collaborate and did not want to pass the paper. They began to argue that the next person would mess it up and I had to explain the concept of collaboration a litter deeper.
